Following the Trend In 2017: Stay Tuned

Every year, new trends and fashions come and go. Some stay while some get improvised over time into newer trends. But the ultimate note is that the fashion world keeps changing and evolving. In 2016, there has been some huge leaps for Indian fashion and people have jumped to clad in that exotic lehenga or salwar.

Here are some of the fashion notes of 2016 that has made its way into 2017.

1)    Shoulder is sexy

Yes, shoulder is sexy and there has been several shoulder shows last year and it has crept into celebrity fashion, casual wears like kurtis, party wear suits and even wedding dresses. Be bold and flaunt your shoulders without feeling uneasy. An off-shoulder dress can sure make you look trendy and even elegant.

2)    Cape it Up

We had received several requests for cape suits and several sold the previous year. Being in trend, many boutiques had priced them high. But we at Crystelle Boutiq had them at reasonable prices. There are different kinds of capes like dupatta type, poncho, jacket style and even asymmetrical ones. Trend charts predict that the capes will stay for a while, so you can get your own cape dress soon. Do check our page to stay updated with cape suits.

3)    Follow the Trail

This one came into prevalence towards the end of 2016 and is a recent addition. It takes immense courage and fashion fetish to carry a trail lehenga or gown. It is a sophisticated party wear and should be tried only on carpet shows. It is mainly being tried by brides for their D-Day.

4)    Add Some Pom Poms

There are various ways that you can use the pom-poms to add an extra flambouyant touch to your ethnic indie wear. Add them to the lehenga tie, towards the back of the blouse, simply hanging on the sides, ends of dupatta or even use small pom-poms around the dupatta border of salwar bottom border. It is all upto your imagination how you use it.

5)    Saree Variations

There were some bold saree draping statements which had moved from the fashion ramps to common usage. There are very many of them flaunting in denim jackets with the sarees. Some wore it with a trendy crop top and the popular one has been plain saree with embroidered blouse in digital design and contrast color.

6)    Brocades

Brocades are epitomes of traditional indian culture. They are back in fashion with a newer approach. They have sweeped the fashion floors last year and will be here for a while. So, ransack your mother’s wardrobe and get those exquisite banarasi sarees and model them up into gowns, salwars or lehengas. If you do not have one, search at Crystelle Boutiq for some trendy yet reasonable banarasi dresses.

Skirts are always in trend. In 2015, it was wrap around skirts and tops. This year it will be mostly crop tops and kurtis with skirts. Lehengas also come with lop tops rather than blouse model.
