Top 10 Plain Georgette Dresses for Little Girls

Pick up any plain fabric to create cute little dresses for your little girls. Below are some of the great designs of plain georgette dresses for little girls.

1. Ruffle Dress with Balloon Sleeve

This small balloon sleeve will give a milkmaid look to your lass. The flair part is also differently cut in the umbrella with frills are the waistline and ruffles around the umbrella cutting. The bow finishes the look. This dress will also look great in crepe fabric.

2. Frills and Ruffles Overload

This dress can be ideally made in about 3-4 meters for a 3-4-year-old. It is best to cut along the width of the fabric for the best frills. But if you are stitching for a bigger size, you should cut it along the length to get more frills at the waist. Pastel shades look best with this kind of small ruffle used on the neck and waist.

3. Umbrella Cut Flair with Small Flat Frills

Cute little frills on the neckline and bottom flair can elevate the beauty of any dress. The pattern will look great on cotton fabric too. If you are looking for an elegant party-wear silk frock/gown for your little one, try making this pattern on soft silk or muslin silk fabric.

ProTip: While working on frills and ruffles with georgette - make sure you cut the pieces and join them together. Pico the edges using a pico sewing machine foot. This makes it easier to attach all the pieces in one go.

4. One Shoulder Pleated Neckline Frilled Frock

Kids look gorgeous in simple dresses. Sleeveless and one-shoulder dresses can keep them comfortable all day long, regardless of the heat. While doing any one-shoulder dress, try to accentuate the neckline with any pattern. In the above dress, pleated ruffles are used. Double the fabric and inlay with lining or soft fusing if required. For single-shoulder dresses, a side zip would be more suitable than a back zip. Stitch it to the exact fitting so that it doesn't look loose.

5. High Neck Frilled Yoke 3/4 Sleeve Frock

This yoke-cutting pattern is now popular in adult dress patterns too. The high neck gives a sophisticated look. Use a button punching machine, or get it punched from a nearby store to give the central buttons. You can also pick up some matching handworked buttons to accessorize the dress. Slight balloon sleeves or cuff sleeves go well with this look.

6. Asymmetric Beach Dress

Kids would love this beach-look dress as they are the most comfortable with the spaghetti strap. They are the best for a simple outing or quick wear. Keep the length at least 3-4 inches above the ankle to allow easy movement. The flair portion can be cut in an umbrella or straight cut as preferred. Create the frills at the yoke by thread pulling method and then add a loose stitch to hold it in place. place it over your cut lining and stitch the frills in place. Voila!! your frilled yoke is done.

7. High Cut With Short Sleeve

The different in this is that the yoke cuts high above. This kind of cutting makes sure that the dress flows right from the chest portion. Also the frills have to be pico at the top end. join the frilled below and any dress looks good in white. You can but these kind of simple jacquard dot georgette for about 120-150/meter.

8. Off Shoulder Lace Dress

If you plan to stitch some simple single-color dresses, find laces and stack them up. You can use it according to your imagination. This is an umbrella cut flair with lace added to the end. lace alone has been used on the off-shoulder. But for a better hold, you can also place the lace over the fabric. You can also give piping over the lace to get a better hold.

9. Intricately Ruffled Cute Frock

Thick ruffled frock standing right above the knee will give a fairy tale look to the little one. Do not make it too thick. Cut the pieces together and check how it looks after adding the frills. The topmost frill layer will have to picoed to get the impact. Create a bow to accessorize the plain look.

10. A-line Single Piece Dress

Single A-line dress with simple soft frills at the end and a frilled collar neckline. Use some embroidery elements at the neck to beautifully it as a bridesmaid dress.

Why is it all ruffles and frills? These are the simple elements that you can add to a little girl's dress while working on a single fabric. Georgette fabrics are the best suited for this type as it is flowy. You can also use net fabric, but try to choose soft net fabric and work on tight ruffles while working with the net as it will give a lovely look to your dress.

Post pics of the dresses you create so that we can make this an enjoyable affair.

Yellow Haldi Gota Patti Dress Idea and Average Breakdown Cost

If you have some knowledge about Clothing, you should be knowing Gota Patti which is very popular mostly in Northern India. Patti means band in Hindi and Gota Patti is basically shining laces. It is a centuries-old craft form and its exact origin location is not known. The lace is mettalic with a metall coated yarn. It is available as simple straight laces in several thickness and also as artistic ones.

1) Check Out the Gotta Patti neckline

The neckline is the main attraction here. Make lines on a patti piece of the main fabric and use that to embellish the neckline. Sew in Beads to finish the look.
Add gotta patti on dupatta border and pant in 2 lines. Add 2 lines on the salwar ghere and sleeve end.
You can use georgette or malai silk fabric for the top and bottom. Buy dyeable organza dupatta with gotta butti or go for dyeable any small butti dupatta. Some people are not comfortable with organza dupatta, so in such cases, georgette or Chinon butta fabrics are easily available.

Top and palazzo Fabric : 5 meter - Approx 150/meter fabric = Rs 750
Lining Fabric : 5 meter crepe - Rs 250
Dupatta : Approx Rs 750
Gotta Patti: Rs 250
Total Cost : Rs 2000 for fabric

Stitching charge @Inayahdesigns is Rs 2500 for the fully custom set including the beads add on to the neckline.
So optimally, you can get your custom-designed party wear dress on a budget of Rs 5000
These are great for Haldi functions where the bride can dress classy in a dress that is not expensive. The same kind in multiple colors can be a good bridesmaid costume for the wedding day.

Onam Vishu Kurti Designs

It is traditional to wear a set saree or a set mundu for onam or vishu. Or sometimes you have special event at your temple and you want to wear something Kerala style. But you do not want to wear a saree, Here we have listed a few designer kurti designs for such occasions where you can stay comfortable in a kurti and yet slay the trad look.

This is a silver and ona kodi combination. There is no handwork element added to this. It is done in a maxi dress pattern. Silver fabric with self mirror work has been added to the yoke portion and also the sleeve end. There are small pleated gathers at the waistline.

The fabric used is premium kota with abstract self design. Cut bead work has been given to enhance the look on the neck and sleeve. This design is a little different from the usual ones and you can prefer such designs if you do not want to get lost in the crowd of similar designs. This is a slited salwar suit. You can choose to wear with or without dupatta. A light golden silk dupatta will be a great match.

This piece is a lovely handcrafted one with handwork on the neckline and sleeve end. A similar design of traingles have been used with a tad bit of thread work french knots. The color is beige and the soft handlom cotton fabric will make you feel comfortable even when the sun is above your head.

This is a much loved design. Several design elements have been used int his one.  The golden net self design fabric patch has been used on the yoke. It's made in 3 panels with slit. The panels are enhanced with golden piping. The net fabric has been used in an insert style on the sleeves and the ghera. And finally, it is a collar design and pleated sleeve design has also been included. But the point to note is that, all these design elements have been imbibed into a single simple kurti design without making it look exaggerated.

Will post in more pics of this lovely black and silver tissue zari onam design kurti. Black fabric with self mirror work has been used in the central portion and sleeve. the piping on the sleeve finishes the look. There are small bead hangings on the end of the central portion.

More such designs will be posted in time to come. Keep watching the space.

283 saves on a Pinterest Post- Watch out this design

Yes, the color of the salwar could be the reason for the high number of saves. The lovely pista green shade. As you can see from the picture it is a simple neckline.

Necklines are the most easiest to enhance as you have a small area to work upon and can give a heavy work look. But the problem we face with neckline work is with customers who wear a dupatta. But this one came with a one side dupatta, so the design was perfect.

Always note that thread work element adds its own elegant to the dress. But when you give your dress for handwork, be known that thread embroidery work takes a longer time than simple beads. Instead of going for bullion flowers or so, stick to simple designs like the above, where we have rounded the pearl with frenchknot in  thread.

The rest is simple tube beads, sugar beads and kundan work. if you are wondering about the dupatta, we had given a light golden shade dupatta with green piping border.

Simple paani work blue blouse

This is one of the most common design on handworked blouse in Kerala. Was in fashion since about 3 years and still there are brides who prefer this pattern just for the beauty of it.

Palanquin baarat wedding blouse design ideas

Baraat or palanquin design blouses are becoming the trend these days for the Bride's. They are extensively worked and range from 18k onwards. The work depicts the bride and groom and some even have the
This is a less heavier version of the barat design which has the palanquin with the bride and the palanquin carriers and a horse. The plus factor of this design is that it will stay in your budget and yet make the blouse grand enough. The cut work is a must have for all blouses.  Other than the palanquin, the rest designs are simple.

Let's jump right into the heavy design from the simple one. This has some intricate detailing imbibed on it.
It has a chariot with the bride in it and the rest also has been heavily worked in zardosi and the colored part in thread. The umbrella design and the elephant on the sleeves also involves intricate elements. The weaved tube bead work on the sleeve and neck is indeed a major factor and can be picked up as a hand embroidery idea.
This is one the best baraat designs we have seen with serious hand embroidery detailing. If you notice, the jhumka design is a pure must for the design. The bride and the palanquin holders has been hand created with utmost care. The faces have been beautifully aari worked. The combination of red, white and golden gives the royal look.

This is a two later design with baraat om the top layer and peacocks and jhumka in the lower layer. The blouse back is almost fully covered.

These are simple variations of the bridal design. The back neck is straight in one type. That has to be done with proper thinking as some many have a difficulty with such a closed and neck line toughing the back neck. Some may not wear such a long blouse, so do recheck before going for a double layer design.
Sajna Bridal Wear is one of the top notch bridal blouse designers of India. They have some of the best designs and intricate art works. Bead work is the king here. The sequin singles gives the filler.

When it comes to designer Sakina Ahmed, the design is always a class apart. Have a close look at the design detailing and you will be in awe with the various elements, design and crafting done not the blouse. Just as a matter of fact, the back side one image has gone completely covered by the hair.

This design by Mahitha Prasad is a lighter version . The elephant LATKAN is a good add on .

I might say this is a rather too heavy work for a blouse. The combination of red and golden on green seems a bit odd too. Another similar bridal procession design done my Maple Boutique has been done in utmost elegance.
The hangings on the blouse back gives a mughal feel to it.
Too much detailing on the second layer will make this an expensive design from Zarigai by Gitanjali. The chariot holders look rather royal.

The next designer in row is Vanitha Prasad who is known for her bridal blouse works.t his has a check sleeve design . The doli baraat picture forms the back of the blouse. The usual floral designs cover up the rest of the area.
The red and white comBination is more like a bengali bride with matching jhumka hanging. The lines on the sleeves in red is to be noted.

Pink and green combination might seem too glittery for some. But it gives a rather traditional design. The base design is the same.

Coral green is one of my favorite and this specific one has some oh so lovely zardosi detailing of the doli barat ghode and aadmi.
