Kareena Kapoor in Grey Sabyasachi Lehenga at Lakme Fashion Week
Kareena Kapoor was the showstopper for the Sabyasachi Collection on the curtain down of the Lakme Fashion Week 2016. It was a rather emotional moment for her to take the ramp even with her baby bump. She mentioned to the press that it is the first time her baby along with her is on the limelight. It was also her first time working with Sabyasachi.
The dress was a dark olive green lehenga with heavy embroidery and a long choli. She looked like a classy bride in a different color shade away from the traditional reds and pinks. The antique mang tikka added to her look.
She was seen happily flaunting away her baby bump like a proud mother. The industry praised her for her dedication to her career. She has also informed the media that she will be working even after her pregnancy.
The theme of the Sabyasachi collection was over shimmerly colors in dusky and smoky shades with contrast shades. The collection was named 'Illuminate'. They have held onto their concept of bringing in elements of western wear into Indian Embroidery. It’s a vintage range inspired from the dresses of 1920s to 1960s.
Karishma also attended the function to applaud the younger sister.
